The Brew Coffee and Tap in Tyrone will soon add mushroom coffee to its menu, alongside its regular offerings.
Shannon Rice, the shop’s owner, said she became curious about mushroom coffee after seeing it frequently advertised on Facebook. “I’ve seen it all over Facebook. Like, all of my ads have pretty much been targeting me for mushroom coffee,” she shared.
To gauge interest, Rice posted a poll on the shop’s Facebook page. The feedback was mixed, with some commenters expressing skepticism. “Somebody said they tried it and it tastes like hot dog water,” Rice said, though she added, “I’m not disagreeing. Every brand tastes totally different. So the brand they tried probably did.”
Despite the mixed reviews, Rice noted that many customers are willing to give it a try.
