Kimzey’s Coffee, a well-loved local café, will be closing its doors later this month, according to a recent announcement on the shop’s Instagram page.
The closure comes after eight years of serving the Argyle community. General Manager Connor Patterson explained that the building, which owner Matt Fisher had been leasing, has been sold to a new local entrepreneur.
“We’re really excited to spend time with the community with the little time we have left,” Patterson said.
Known for its creative drinks like iced blueberry lattes, golden milk lattes, and iced black tea with blueberry syrup, Kimzey’s also offers matchas, lemonades, and fresh bakery items such as blueberry muffins and sausage rolls.
Although the Argyle location is closing, fans of Kimzey’s coffee can still enjoy it at West Oak Coffee Bar in Denton Square, where it will continue to be served, Patterson confirmed.
