Nestlé Philippines has entered into a strategic partnership with the SF Group of Companies (SFGC) to promote sustainable and profitable coffee farming in Northern Cotabato. The partnership, formalized with a memorandum of agreement (MOA) signing, aims to expand Robusta coffee cultivation in the region through the expertise of Sunfood Marketing Inc., a subsidiary of SFGC.
This partnership marks a significant milestone for Nestlé, as it aligns with its ongoing Nescafé Plan, which supports Filipino smallholder coffee farmers by enhancing yields, improving income, and elevating the quality of life. The collaboration will see Sunfood apply its advanced agricultural technology and sustainable farming practices to increase farm productivity while promoting environmental sustainability and regenerative agriculture—key components of building resilience against climate change.
Under the Nescafé Plan, Nestlé will provide technical support and capacity-building programs to local coffee farming communities, sharing best farming techniques, business concepts, and environmental practices to ensure long-term agricultural sustainability.
In line with its broader environmental goals, Nestlé Philippines is advancing responsible sourcing as part of its roadmap to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
