Vietnam exported 154,635 tons of coffee worth $799.5 million in January, according to the Vietnam Coffee-Cocoa Association.
Of the total exports, green coffee made up 137,568 tons, valued at $694.9 million. While the volume of green coffee exports fell by 38.2% compared to the same month last year, the value saw an increase of 8.8%. Processed coffee exports totaled 17,067 tons, generating $104.6 million.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises played a significant role, accounting for 21.8% of the green coffee export volume and 22.4% of its value in January.
In 2024, Vietnam set a record by exporting 1.35 million tons of coffee, generating $5.62 billion in revenue. The average price per ton of coffee reached a historic high of $4,178.
