Ostara Coffee Roasters, a beloved Fort Worth coffee company known for its smooth cold brews and high-quality lattes, has opened a permanent location next to HopFusion Ale Works in the Near Southside neighborhood. Since its launch in early 2022, co-founders Natalie Willard and Valerie Mejia have grown the business through pop-up events and collaborations with local restaurants and retailers.
“We wanted to create a space that’s not just about growing our business but also serves as a community hub in the South Main area,” Willard explained. “The food and beverage scene in Near Southside is amazing, and we wanted to contribute more than just great coffee to the neighborhood.”
The new coffee shop and roastery features a warm and inviting atmosphere with polished concrete floors, white walls, and a striking green-tiled barista counter. Visitors can enjoy signature drinks like the oat milk latte with brown sugar or grab a breakfast taco from their longtime partner, Cafecito.
Megan Henderson, director of events and communication for Near Southside Inc., highlighted the success of the co-owners’ journey. “They’ve navigated the challenges of the pandemic, worked with local retailers, and built strong partnerships across the restaurant scene,” she said. “Today, Ostara Coffee is proudly served throughout Fort Worth, packaged for retail, and catered to events of all sizes. Their new retail location will be a foundation for regular customers and markets, and businesses like Ostara are exactly the kind of retailers we dream of seeing thrive in our vibrant district.”
