Utopian Coffee + Kitchen announced on Thursday that it will be closing its location on The Landing to concentrate on its roasting facility at South Calhoun Street.
In an Instagram post, the company explained, “While we’ve enjoyed our time at UC+K on The Landing, our heart and vision will be best served by refocusing on what we began back in 2006. We are better suited to roast for and support cafes, not run one ourselves.”
The company thanked The Model Group, its leadership, staff, and customers for their support over the years.
“We’re excited to see what comes next for this incredible retail space at The Landing that’s been our home for several years,” they added.
Since 2020, Utopian Coffee has been expanding its roasting facility on South Calhoun Street. The company is now preparing to open a new Coffee Lab, where the public and wholesale customers can participate in coffee tastings, training sessions, and tours.
Despite the closure, Utopian Coffee will continue to support local cafes and establishments.
