A new coffee shop in Chelsea is brewing more than just espresso — it’s offering a fresh shot at romance.
First Round’s On Me, which opened in late March, is designed specifically for single New Yorkers looking to connect. The space offers free drinks, social events, pool tables, communal seating, and a friendly staff trained to watch for signs of discomfort, ensuring a safe and relaxed environment.
“This is the first place I’ve ever been that’s specifically for single people, and that’s very cool,” said Danna Kahn, a 25-year-old podcast producer from the Upper West Side, who has already visited the café twice.
The concept behind the shop is to create natural, in-person connections in a city where dating can often feel impersonal. With its casual atmosphere and social design, First Round’s On Me hopes to stand out as a go-to gathering place for those tired of swiping and ready to mingle in real life.
