Prophet Coffee, which began as a coffee van in Charleston, is expanding into a larger, brick-and-mortar location. Owners Savanna and Bryson Purcell announced the move on Instagram, revealing that Prophet will soon open at 4427 Spruill Avenue in North Charleston, formerly home to Wind and Waves Brewing. The new space is expected to open by mid-summer.
“With this expanded space, we’ll be able to offer more, host exciting events, and continue to create a welcoming, inspiring environment for our community,” the business shared on Instagram. Prophet Coffee is also accepting donations via Venmo and offering coffee donation packages to support the new space’s buildout.
The coffee shop, which started in 2023 from a 1996 Subaru, moved into its first brick-and-mortar location at 4411 Spruill Avenue just seven months after opening. Prophet Coffee is currently open Monday through Friday from 7 A.M. to 1 P.M. and on weekends from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M.
In addition, the Purcells have applied for a beer and wine permit for the new space, according to a city notice.
