Holy Grounds Coffee, a new coffee shop focused on giving back to the community, opened its food truck on April 15. Located in the parking lot of Fencing Solutions on Iowa Avenue, near the Menards intersection, the coffee truck is already attracting a lot of attention.
Co-owner Steve Slifer said, “This is a great location. People visit Menards and Theisens, and it’s on the way out of town.” Due to the high demand, the owners are considering expanding the parking lot, as it tends to fill up quickly at lunchtime.
The success of the food truck has led to plans for a second location in Toledo. They are also building a 30×60 brick-and-mortar Holy Grounds in the same building as Fencing Solutions. The new space will include a conference room for meetings, and although a drive-thru option has been discussed, the owners are still deciding what’s possible.
“We expect the brick-and-mortar to be ready by late summer,” Slifer said. “In the meantime, our trailer will be going to events, including this year’s Marshall County Fairgrounds for the fair.”
