Coffee growers and producers in Nueva Vizcaya will be in the spotlight this week as the province celebrates its first-ever Coffee Festival at the provincial capitol in Bayombong.
Marichelle Costales, the province’s tourism and culture officer and director-general of the Grand ‘Ammungan’ Festival, said the event will bring together coffee producers from across Nueva Vizcaya.
“This festival gives our coffee industry players a chance to promote their products to visitors. We hope it helps them reach a wider market, both locally and internationally,” Costales said.
The Coffee Festival will be held at the Carlos Padilla Convention Center. It is being organized in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry as part of the province’s 16th Grand ‘Ammungan’ Festival. The week-long celebration marks the founding anniversary of Nueva Vizcaya.
Visitors will get to sample different coffee blends and experience the unique flavors of the province’s locally grown beans.
Alongside the coffee-themed activities, the event will also feature an art competition, a “Kapetirya” (coffee shop-style experience), and an art display.
