Vietnamese specialty coffee chain Every Half is accelerating its growth following seed round investments from Openspace Ventures and DSG Consumer Partners in August 2024. Co-founded by CEO Vo Duy Phu and COO Tran Le Minh Truc in 2021, the company has grown to 14 stores across Ho Chi Minh City and was recently honored with Coffee Shop of the Year and Most Favoured Coffee Shop at the 2024 Flavour Awards.
Every Half sets itself apart by managing the entire coffee value chain—from seed selection and fermentation to roasting and customer service. The company collaborates with farmers and cooperatives in Dien Bien, Lam Dong, and Dak Lak, aiming for full traceability and premium quality. The brand combines modern espresso machines with hand-brew techniques, all within minimalist, design-forward café spaces.
“Our goal is to elevate Vietnamese coffee globally,” said Phu. “With this funding, we’ll scale faster, invest more deeply in our farmer partnerships, and continue exploring fermentation for better flavor profiles.”

Enhance fermentation research for elevated flavor development
This expansion comes as the global specialty coffee market hit $101 billion in 2024, growing 1.5x faster than traditional coffee, with a strong consumer shift toward quality, transparency, and sustainability.
