On May 27, Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs visited the Kalve Coffee roastery in Mārupe to learn more about the company’s work.
President Rinkēvičs praised the growing coffee culture in Latvia. He noted that more people are showing interest in high-quality coffee and the places where they can enjoy it. According to the President, Kalve Coffee shows that it is possible to create a valuable product in Latvia that respects the environment and reflects national identity.
He also highlighted the company’s decision to go public by listing shares on the stock exchange. This move, along with their ability to raise significant capital, shows that investors trust the company. It also sends a strong message about the positive investment climate in Latvia. During his visit, the President learned about how Kalve Coffee roasts its beans and chooses seasonal coffee varieties. He was also informed about global coffee trends and the company’s experience in moving to a new roasting facility and entering the stock market.
