A new café, Mosaic Coffee, has opened its doors in the Uptown area along Hennepin Avenue. Located between Magers & Quinn and Eye Deals, the café quietly began serving coffee last week. While it hasn’t held a grand opening yet, it is currently operating under an extended soft opening with regular hours.
Mosaic Coffee took to Instagram after its first weekend to thank the community for their warm reception. “The support, the curiosity, the ‘wait, are you open??’ vibes — chef’s kiss,” the café posted, expressing gratitude for the help in breaking in its espresso machine. The message continued, “You made our soft open feel so special, and we truly can’t thank you enough.”
The café, occupying the former space of Scout, offers a variety of drinks, from coffee and espresso to specialty beverages like espresso tonics.
Mosaic Coffee is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The café wrapped up its Instagram post with a warm message: “Cheers, Uptown. You’re already our people.”
