Indonesia proudly showcased its finest Archipelago coffees at the Specialty Coffee Expo (SCE) 2025, held in Houston, Texas, on April 25, 2025. The prestigious event welcomed participants from over 86 countries.
SCE is the world’s largest gathering for the specialty coffee industry, attracting more than 17,000 visitors each year. This year’s expo featured 649 participants, including farmers, roasters, exporters, importers, baristas, researchers, and retail operators.
Indonesia was represented at the event through the Indonesian Pavilion, which offered visitors a taste of the country’s rich coffee heritage. The pavilion featured premium coffee varieties from regions like West Java, Sumatra, West Sumatra, Toraja, Central Java, Gayo, and Toba.
A total of 16 Indonesian participants showcased their specialty coffees, highlighting the diverse flavors and aromas unique to Indonesia’s islands.
The Indonesian Pavilion was officially opened by the Indonesian Consul General in Houston, Ourina Ritonga. During the inauguration, Ourina emphasized that Indonesia’s participation was not just about promoting coffee products, but also about sharing the culture and spirit of Indonesian coffee farmers with the world.
