Zarraffa’s Coffee has reached a major milestone in its growth plans, launching its 80th store with a new drive-thru location in Logan Village, southeast Queensland. This brings the company closer to its goal of operating 200 stores by the time Brisbane hosts the 2032 Olympics.
The Logan Village store is owned by long-time franchisees Leah and Jason Meares, who now operate three Zarraffa’s locations. The couple has been part of the brand for over 13 years and currently employ 85 staff across their stores.
“This area is booming,” said Zarraffa’s CEO Marnie Sheldon. “Logan Village is turning into a vibrant hub for families, commuters, and small businesses. It’s an exciting place for us to grow.”
Sheldon praised the Meares family for their commitment to the brand and the local community. “Leah and Jason are ideal partners for this expansion. They’re passionate about what they do and care deeply about the people they serve.”
The new location will create more than 24 jobs through a dedicated hiring and training program. Abbey, a lead barista from the Loganlea store, will help with the opening to ensure a smooth transition. The store officially opens on 6 May.
In a separate move, Zarraffa’s recently entered the South Australian market for the first time by acquiring Adelaide-based drive-thru coffee chain First Things First.
“We’re not just creating jobs,” said Leah Meares. “We’re building a business that supports other families. That’s what makes this special.”
