The 2025 Nantou Chocolate and Coffee Festival will return bigger than ever this summer, transforming Puli Fuxing Hot Spring Park into a flavorful wonderland from May 30 to June 8. Themed “Coffee Is Not to Be Touched”, this fifth edition promises immersive experiences, world-class flavors, and family-friendly fun across a sprawling 6-hectare exhibition area.
Unveiled during a lively press conference on May 20, the festival was introduced with the debut of its new theme song, “Nantou Coffee is a Must,” performed by the Night Watch Band. Spokesperson and goodwill ambassador Gao Manrong introduced four large-scale experience activities, each accommodating 1,000 participants. Deputy County Magistrate Wang Ruide, standing in for County Magistrate Xu Shuhua, joined officials and guests to sample champion chocolate French desserts and premium Nantou coffee, giving a strong thumbs up to local products.

The event doubles as an educational journey into Taiwan’s coffee and chocolate culture. Visitors can explore:

The festival also offers four themed activities for 1,000 participants each, such as Sicilian coffee DIY, floral picnic seating, coffee ground handcrafts, and artisan brewing sessions. Participants receive a co-branded picnic bag with champion chocolate, giant croissants, and classic cakes. Limited spots are available via the official website.
Entertainment & Evening Shows
Three evening parties will light up the festival on May 30, 31, and June 7, featuring popular Taiwanese performers including Dai Ailing, Zeng Xinmei, and Alan AC. The grand finale includes a drone light show and fireworks display featuring the beloved “Cat and Bug Kabo” IP.
Boosting Nantou’s Brand Power
Deputy County Magistrate Wang highlighted Nantou’s unique climate and terrain, which contribute to its high-quality coffee and cocoa production. Nantou produces over 20% of Taiwan’s cocoa and is recognized for its layered, fragrant coffee. With growing support from central agencies like the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Rural Development and Water Conservation Bureau, the festival continues to grow as a key tourism and industry platform.
Shoppers who spend 668 TWD at the event are eligible for capsule toy prizes totaling over 1.5 million TWD. Spending at the Taste Nantou Pavilion earns chances to join DIY sessions or redeem lucky bags.
From chocolate tastings and coffee brewing classes to local crafts and live music, the 2025 Nantou Chocolate and Coffee Festival invites visitors of all ages to sip, savor, and celebrate summer in style.
