Waking up the morning after Super Bowl LIX could be tough for many, especially for those who have to work on Monday. Despite being the most-watched television event, the Monday after the Super Bowl has not yet been declared a national holiday for fans who celebrated late into the night.
Whether you were cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles or the Kansas City Chiefs, it was a long night. Eagles fans celebrated their team’s victory well into the early hours, while Chiefs fans woke up to mourn a tough loss. To ease the pain, Starbucks offered free coffee all day to Starbucks Rewards members, a gesture that made the post-Super Bowl Monday a little more bearable for football fans.
However, Starbucks’ gesture came right after a bold move by its competitor, Dunkin’ Donuts. Dunkin’ took to the Super Bowl commercial break with an ad that took its iconic “America Runs on Dunkin’” slogan to a new level, providing some playful rivalry to the coffee giant.
