Octane Coffee is revolutionizing the traditional coffee shop model with a futuristic concept that eliminates the need for a lobby, restrooms, or on-site employees. Instead, customers enjoy freshly brewed Stone Creek Coffee and an ultra-fast pickup process at these fully automated kiosks. More vending machine than cozy café, the concept has found success with its flagship location in Pewaukee, catering primarily to time-strapped commuters looking for quick, quality coffee.
Now, Octane Coffee is planning to expand. The company has announced plans to open a new location in Brookfield this summer, followed by a Milwaukee location near the airport by the end of the year.
The new Milwaukee kiosk will be a 240-square-foot automated café located at 300 W. Layton Ave., a spot within the Golden Corral restaurant parking lot. According to Adrian Deasy, founder and CEO of Octane Coffee, the location was chosen due to its high potential: “That spot on Layton Ave has some of the highest coffee chain sales in the Milwaukee area,” he said. Deasy hopes the new location will provide customers with a faster, more affordable drive-thru coffee experience powered by technology.
The automated cafés are designed for efficiency, with no baristas on-site. Instead, the kiosks are stocked by employees, who also service the machines that brew and dispense the drinks. Because these cafes are not fully staffed, they can stay open 24/7, offering unparalleled convenience for coffee lovers.
With competition from Starbucks, Dunkin’, and McDonald’s nearby, Octane Coffee is betting on its ability to provide a quicker, more tech-driven experience for customers in the area.
