World of Coffee Geneva will host four major international coffee competitions later this month, drawing over 100 of the world’s best coffee professionals. The event will take place from June 26 to 28, 2025, at the Palexpo Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The competitions include the World Latte Art Championship, World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, World Cup Tasters Championship, and Cezve/Ibrik Championship. Together, they showcase a wide range of skills and creativity from across the coffee industry.
The World Latte Art Championship will focus on baristas creating stunning, intricate designs with steamed milk. It highlights their precision and artistic flair. The World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship combines coffee with cocktail-making, celebrating inventive drinks that blend both worlds.
In the Cup Tasters Championship, participants will taste eight sets of three cups of coffee—called triangulations—and must identify the odd one out in each set. This contest puts competitors’ tasting skills and sensory accuracy to the test.
The Cezve/Ibrik Championship honors one of the oldest coffee brewing methods in the world. Competitors use traditional long-handled pots to prepare coffee, aiming to bring fresh creativity to this historic technique.
Alongside these competitions, the event will also feature the Coffee Design Awards and the Best New Product Awards.
Organized by the Specialty Coffee Association, World of Coffee Geneva is expected to attract over 13,000 professionals from more than 160 countries. More than 450 companies will be exhibiting, making it one of the year’s biggest events in the global coffee calendar.
