The Ethiopian Embassy, in partnership with the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce and Industry, hosted a Coffee Trade Forum in Rabat, Morocco. The event brought together Ethiopian coffee exporters and Moroccan importers, roasters and distributors.
Key attendees included Ethiopian Ambassador to Morocco Nardos Ayalew and President of the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hassen Berkani.
In her opening remarks, Ambassador Nardos Ayalew noted that coffee is an important part of Ethiopia’s cultural heritage. She highlighted Ethiopia’s unique position as the birthplace of coffee, with a global reputation for its high-quality Arabica beans.
The forum reflected the Moroccan market’s growing interest in Ethiopian coffee. Ambassador Nardos stressed the importance of creating platforms that allow exporters and importers to connect directly. She said these connections help build stronger and more meaningful trade partnerships.
