Greek coffeehouse chain Coffee Island has opened its second store in India, just months after launching its first location in Gurugram. The new outlet is located in Hyderabad, marking the company’s debut in southern India.
The store opened in partnership with Indian franchise partner Vita Nova and is located within a major technology company’s campus. Coffee Island celebrated the launch with a statement highlighting the milestone.
“From a European favourite to a beloved name across continents, Coffee Island marks another bold milestone,” the company said. “After a phenomenal debut in Gurugram, we’re thrilled to bring our European coffee culture to South India for the very first time.”
The brand also emphasized that the expansion is not just about opening new locations, but about building a global coffee community through quality and connection.
Following its Indian debut, Coffee Island announced plans to open 20 outlets in the country by March 2026, with a long-term goal of reaching 250 stores by 2029. The Hyderabad opening reinforces the company’s commitment to becoming a major player in India’s fast-growing café market.
