Starbucks Coffee Co. is bringing a new location to the Tamaya area in Jacksonville, with construction well underway at the intersection of Northeast Atlantic and Kernan boulevards.
As of June 4, the city has approved eight construction permits totaling $2.48 million for the 2,700-square-foot store at 12645 Beach Blvd. The latest permit, issued on June 4, covers a $475,000 interior build-out.
Venture Construction Co. of Tampa is handling construction, which includes the main shell building, a canopy, a dumpster enclosure, and installation of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
The new Starbucks is being built on a 1-acre portion of a 1.8-acre site acquired by Criterion Ladera LLC—a partnership between Criterion Fund of Oklahoma and Ladera Properties of Dallas-Fort Worth. The partnership purchased the property for $1.5 million on March 27, 2024, and plans to develop a 2,827-square-foot coffee shop on the site, according to Criterion Fund’s website.
Seattle-based Starbucks continues its expansion in Florida with this latest location, strategically placed near one of Jacksonville’s rapidly growing residential and commercial corridors.
