After recently opening Mocha Point Yemeni Coffee on Main Street in St. Charles, a similar café is now planned for Ballwin at 15299 Manchester Road.
Alderman David Siegel (Ward 4) said no concerns were raised about the new location during the June 2 Planning & Zoning Commission meeting.
“It looks like they’re going to offer some unique coffee and create a nice local hangout spot that doesn’t serve alcohol,” Siegel said, noting it could appeal to younger residents.
At the June 9 Ballwin Board of Aldermen meeting, the request for a special use exception was unanimously approved.
It was confirmed that seating will be limited to the upper-level sidewalk area, with no seating on the regular street-level sidewalk.
