Ben Owen and Amy Wiltshire, a couple from Kidderminster, have been “overwhelmed” by the support from the community after opening their new mobile coffee shop at Burlish Meadows Nature Reserve in Stourport.
The couple bought a rice box horse trailer in April 2024 and spent the past year converting it into a stylish coffee shop. After securing their trailer trading licence, they officially served their first customers on April 17, 2025.
“We officially opened at Burlish Meadows last Friday, and we were blown away by the response,” said the couple. “It was a brilliant first weekend – lots of friendly faces and amazing support from the community. We’re so grateful for the warm welcome.”
They added, “We’ve been completely overwhelmed by the support. Seeing people enjoy a coffee or frappé from something we built with our own hands has been amazing. It really feels like all the hard work has paid off.”
The mobile coffee shop offers a variety of drinks and cakes, including specialist coffee, teas, frappés, and personalised hot chocolates. They have also partnered with local business Treats for You to sell delicious brownies.
