Kelachandra Coffee, India’s largest privately-owned coffee plantation company, will represent the country at the prestigious World of Coffee 2025 event. The event will take place from May 15 to 17 at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) in Indonesia. This is the first time the event is being hosted in an Asian country known for coffee production.
The Bengaluru-based company, recognized for its Rainforest Alliance-certified, shade-grown coffees from the biodiverse Western Ghats, will present its unique products at the event. Kelachandra will take part in cupping sessions, sustainability discussions, and will have its own booth at the global exhibition. With India’s coffee exports reaching USD 1.54 billion, a 40% increase from the previous year, Kelachandra aims to elevate India’s coffee reputation in the global specialty market.
“India is entering a new and exciting phase in coffee production,” said Neleema Rana George, Head of Coffee Works and Technology at Kelachandra Coffee. “We are moving beyond commodity production to establish ourselves as a serious player in the specialty coffee segment. At World of Coffee 2025 in Jakarta, we are excited to highlight the innovation, diversity, and ethical cultivation of our shade-grown beans.”
