ofi has officially opened its new state-of-the-art soluble coffee facility in Linhares, Espírito Santo, Brazil. This major investment reinforces ofi’s position as one of the top three independent producers in the expanding global soluble coffee market, which is expected to reach $52.2 billion by 2031. The new facility is also set to provide a significant economic boost to Brazil’s key coffee-growing region.
Situated in the heart of Brazil’s Conilon coffee region, the Linhares facility processes coffee beans sourced from ofi’s coffee units across the country into premium soluble coffee products. The site is equipped with two complete production lines for freeze-dried and spray-dried instant coffee, which enhances both output and material efficiency to serve a global customer base.
Vivek Verma, ofi’s managing director and CEO for coffee, highlighted the benefits of the new facility, stating, “This inauguration represents a triple win – for local communities, for our customers, and for the environment.” He added that processing coffee at the source strengthens the company’s integrated supply chain, enabling sustainable and traceable soluble coffee products.
Verma also emphasized the role of the facility in driving growth across North and South America, as well as meeting demand in Europe and Asia. He expressed gratitude to the Espírito Santo state government for fostering a business-friendly environment that made the project possible.
