The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, a global leader in specialty coffee and tea, has officially opened its first-ever Utah location at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) — the brand’s 23rd airport café and a major step in its non-traditional franchise expansion strategy.
The new café is operated by Bambuza Hospitality Group, a minority and woman-owned, multigenerational business known for its excellence in hospitality operations and its existing success with three Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf locations at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California.
“Airports represent a key growth channel for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf,” said Peter Vavra, Director of Franchise Development. “With our rich heritage and globally recognized offerings, we’re seeing tremendous opportunity to introduce travelers to the premium coffee and tea experience that has set us apart for more than 60 years. Operator groups like Bambuza exemplify the caliber of franchisees we’re looking to grow with.”
With cafés now in seven major U.S. airports, the brand continues to cement its reputation as a top beverage destination for travelers. The SLC opening not only introduces Utah travelers to Coffee Bean’s globally beloved drinks but also reinforces the brand’s commitment to premium, convenient, and culturally inclusive service in high-traffic venues across North and South America.
