Foxtail Coffee is set to open its newest café on Wednesday, May 21, at 1200 Wealthy St. SE in Grand Rapids’ Eastown neighborhood.
The 1,900-square-foot space, which was formerly a Little Caesars and originally a gas station, has been transformed into a vibrant community coffee spot. Customers will enjoy a full craft coffee menu alongside a food selection featuring breakfast bites, sandwiches, and gelato. Outdoor patio seating will also be available.
The new location maintains much of the building’s original character, including the siding, façade, and service doors. Adding to the charm is a custom mural created by a local artist.
“We are looking forward to opening our doors on Wealthy Street, creating another unique space for the community to enjoy,” said Sam Nichols, director of business operations for Baton Collective. “This space blends the history of the location with a fresh look that we’re excited for people to experience in the heart of Eastown.”
Foxtail Coffee’s West Michigan locations operate under Baton Collective, a real estate holdings group owned by Cheri DeVos, daughter of the late Amway co-founder Rich DeVos.
First Companies served as contractor for the project, with Dixon Architecture as the architect.
