Metro Coffee Company, a popular coffee shop that started in Casper over 20 years ago, is expanding its reach to Laramie. Known for its handcrafted drinks, fresh-baked bagels, breakfast items, and a welcoming atmosphere, Metro is excited to open a new location in the heart of downtown Laramie.
The new café will be situated on Ivinson Avenue, directly across from the iconic Buckhorn Bar, a well-known spot in the community. The location’s central position reflects Metro’s commitment to creating spaces that foster connection and creativity.
Owner Sean Peverley, who has strong ties to Laramie, expressed his excitement about the expansion. Having attended the University of Wyoming, Peverley holds the town close to his heart and sees this new venture as a way to give back to the community that helped shape him.
“Laramie has always felt like that home away from home to me,” said Peverley. “It’s a place that values creativity, culture, and community—exactly what Metro Coffee Company is all about. We’re excited to bring something familiar, yet fresh, to this amazing town that has given me so much. I’m a third-generation cowboy, and it’s exciting to finally give something back to the Brown and Gold.”
The Laramie location will feature Metro’s signature drinks, including favorites like the Metro Mud, Elvis, and Heathen, along with specialty Red Bull drinks, fruit smoothies, and a wide variety of iced beverages.
The expansion will also involve the Peverley family, with Sean’s son, Carter Peverley, playing a key role in the new store’s operations. Ashlynn Peverley, Sean’s daughter and the General Manager of the Casper locations, will also contribute to the new shop’s launch and day-to-day operations.
With this move, Metro Coffee Company looks forward to becoming a staple in Laramie, offering locals a place to enjoy delicious drinks and foster community.
