Mokas Coffee and Eatery, a popular coffee chain based in Salina, Kansas, is preparing to open its first location in the Kansas City area.
According to documents filed with the City of Olathe, the new café is planned for the corner of 119th Street and Ridgeview Road, just north of CoreFirst Bank. The projected opening date is March 2026.
Mokas, which already operates in Wichita, is expanding through its first franchisee, Christian Coleman, owner of Midwest Restaurant Group. Coleman has big plans for the brand’s growth across northeast Kansas.
He aims to open a total of six sit-down and drive-thru locations across Johnson, Douglas, and Shawnee counties by 2032. These counties include key cities like Lawrence, Topeka, and parts of the Kansas City metro.
The Olathe café will mark an important step in Mokas’ regional expansion as it brings its coffee, breakfast, and lunch offerings to a broader audience.
