What began as a small coffee shop in Galesville, Wisconsin, has quickly become a community favorite. Now, with strong local support, Groovy Grind Café is expanding.
Opened in June 2023, the café has become a go-to spot for residents of Galesville, Ettrick, and Trempealeau.
“The Groovy Grind Café is a place where people in our community can gather, enjoy great drinks, and just hang out,” said owner Carley Green-Easterday.
In a town where coffee options were limited, Carley saw an opportunity—and the timing was perfect.
“There were people in the community yearning for it,” she said.
Groovy Grind offers more than just coffee and breakfast paninis. With a warm, welcoming space and locally sourced food and drinks, the café has become a hub for all ages. Events like kids’ story time have helped make it a true community gathering spot.
“We definitely love to come here and get delicious food. We love the drinks—they’re so good,” said regular customer Cheyenne Swift.
Her four-year-old son Rio added his own favorite part: “The cakepops.”
With continued community support, Groovy Grind Café is not just surviving—it’s thriving.
