Anthony Kiedis, frontman of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, has teamed up with longtime friend Shane Powers to launch JOLENE, a new ready-to-drink coffee brand now available nationwide.
Created in partnership with h.wood Group founder John Terzian, the project brought together big names in entertainment, including Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino and Global Brand Equities founder James Morrissey, to bring the brand to life.
JOLENE launched with two core flavors:
Black, a bold cold brew
White, a smooth oat milk latte
The drinks are available for purchase online, at select retailers in Los Angeles and New York City, and at over 40 Live Nation amphitheaters in 23 states. At select venues, the coffee will also be featured in four specialty cocktails.
The idea sparked from a casual sidewalk conversation.
“Shane shouted at me down the sidewalk, ‘Let’s do something!’” said Kiedis. “I shouted back, ‘How ’bout coffee?’ He said, ‘Done.’ And so began the adventure of putting a high-quality spin on a can of coffee. Now it’s time to put on some aprons and serve the world some delicious coffee. Simple and fun.”
The liquid development was led by Morrissey, who ensured JOLENE was made with top-tier ingredients while being shelf-stable. The coffee beans are ethically sourced from an all-female cooperative in Peru, a move that ensures the women farmers are directly compensated and supported with resources to help grow their communities.
With its mix of quality, creativity, and social impact, JOLENE aims to bring something fresh — and meaningful — to the world of ready-to-drink coffee.
