A bold new ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee brand called JOLENE is now officially available across the U.S., both online and in select stores. The brand is also rolling out at music venues and festivals through a partnership with Live Nation.
JOLENE is the creation of Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis and his longtime friend Shane Powers, inspired by their 20-year tradition of weekly coffee meetups. The duo teamed up with h.wood Group founder John Terzian, Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino, and Global Brand Equities founder James Morrissey to bring their vision to life.
The brand is launching with two flavors — Black and White — and is now available online, in select retailers in Los Angeles and New York City, and at 40 Live Nation amphitheaters across 23 states. Featured locations include the Gorge Amphitheatre, Northwell at Jones Beach Theater, and Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront.
“Shane shouted at me down the sidewalk, ‘Let’s do something!’” said Kiedis. “I shouted back, ‘How about coffee?’ He said, ‘Done.’ And so began the adventure of putting a high-quality spin on a can of coffee. Now it’s time to put on some aprons and serve the world some delicious coffee. Simple and fun.”
Powers added, “The adventure of building JOLENE with Anthony, from idea to execution with John and James, and making it real with Michael, has left me filled with gratitude. Like everything meaningful in my life, this will be shared over great coffee.”
