San Francisco-based Andytown Coffee Roasters is opening a new café in the city’s Financial District. The latest location, at 747 Front Street, will officially open its doors on Tuesday, May 27.
The new café will operate on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with plans to possibly extend its hours later this summer.
This opening comes as the Financial District has seen several coffee shop closures, including two Starbucks stores this year. Most recently, the Starbucks at 1255 Battery Street closed permanently last Friday. Another location at 99 Jackson Street shut down in February, sparking concern from local seniors who rallied to keep it open.
The Front Street café will be Andytown’s sixth location in San Francisco and its seventh overall. It is the company’s second downtown spot, joining the café at 181 Fremont Street. The only Andytown location outside the city is in Menlo Park, at 1302 El Camino Real.
The new opening reflects Andytown’s steady growth and ongoing commitment to serving San Francisco’s neighborhoods, even as other coffee chains pull back.
