Component Coffee, a coffee shop in the Tower District, is closed while employees clean up after serious vandalism.
The store’s owner, Greg Amend, said police told him someone broke the shop’s windows around 3 a.m. on Saturday. The vandal threw bricks inside, smashing windows and breaking glass equipment.

Nearby, the Tower Yoga Lotus Room also suffered broken windows from vandalism.

Volunteers from the community came to help Amend and his staff clean up the damage.
