A new coffee shop focusing exclusively on nitro-based hot and cold coffee drinks is coming to downtown Winston-Salem. Owners Matthew Allivato James, Karla James, and Zachary Via plan to open Okay Coffee this summer at 505 N. Cherry St.
The location was previously home to Wandering Sun Mead Hall, which closed earlier this year.
Okay Coffee announced their upcoming brick-and-mortar spot in mid-April, emphasizing their unique concept of serving only nitro-infused coffee beverages rather than traditional brews.
Ahead of the store’s opening, the team has been serving their drinks every Saturday at the Cobblestone Farmers Market on Marshall Street, building a local following.
Recently, Okay Coffee revealed a new logo reflecting the “okay” theme behind their name. On Instagram, the owners shared, “We are happy, we are sad, we are somewhere in between and feeling like falling,” capturing the complex emotions tied to the brand.
