The ASEAN Coffee Institute (ACI), led by the ASEAN Coffee Federation (ACF), has unveiled the ACF Coffee Appreciation Protocol (ACAP) — a unified quality framework for evaluating and understanding coffee throughout the value chain. From production and processing to roasting, brewing, and sensory evaluation, ACAP offers standardized assessment and training modules tailored for international markets.
“This is a proud milestone in our journey to define coffee excellence through an ASEAN lens,” said ACF President Victor Mah. “Southeast Asia has long been a coffee powerhouse. With ACI and ACAP, we are now taking ownership of how our coffee is valued and understood on the global stage.”
The ACAP initiative marks a strategic step toward establishing ASEAN-grown coffee as a distinct and respected category in the global specialty market.
