Common Grounds in Oaklyn is celebrating its 10th anniversary, with the last two years marking a new chapter under co-owners Josh Evans and his partner, Chris.
Since taking over, the pair have focused on turning the café into more than just a place to grab coffee—they’ve made it a community hub.
The shop actively supports local groups, including a little league team and Oaklyn United FC, a semi-professional men’s soccer team. It also sponsors “Final Fridays,” a monthly summer event that brings people together in downtown Oaklyn.
Known for creative drinks and seasonal specials, Common Grounds offers monthly coffee flights and signature drinks like the Ridgeway Cubano—an espresso blend with half and half. But the shop’s standout favorite is the Clinton Crusher, a shaken espresso customized with any flavor, named after its Clinton Avenue location.
This spring, the Cherry Blossom Crusher, made with house-made cherry blossom syrup, has become a customer favorite.
With strong community ties and inventive offerings, Common Grounds is brewing more than coffee—it’s brewing connection.
