Starbucks is launching its summer menu Tuesday with fresh food and drink options, including the return of a fan-favorite beverage and an exciting new iced espresso inspired by Latin American flavors.
The spotlight is on the Iced Horchata Oat Milk Shaken Espresso, a limited-time drink crafted for coffee lovers seeking a unique twist. This new beverage combines Starbucks Blonde Espresso with oat milk and horchata-flavored syrup—a blend that delivers a light, smooth, and subtly sweet taste.
Starbucks describes the flavor as a “fusion of warm cinnamon, sweet vanilla, and subtle nutty notes,” echoing the traditional rice milk base of horchata.
Ricky Gonzalez, the beverage developer behind the creation, shared a personal story: “In the central California neighborhood where I grew up, horchata was everywhere—on street corners, in convenience stores, and on the menu at most Mexican restaurants we visited.”
With this new drink, Starbucks brings a refreshing taste of summer and a touch of nostalgia to its menu.
