Colombo Coffee Company, Sri Lanka’s largest total coffee solutions provider and a fully owned subsidiary of Akbar Brothers—the world’s biggest Ceylon Tea exporter—has appointed Kushan Samararatne as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Samararatne brings extensive experience and a strong record of innovation to the role. Previously serving as General Manager, he propelled the company to new heights by establishing its first in-house production unit, developing unique local coffee blends, and launching roasting operations.
Under his leadership, Colombo Coffee Company made significant progress toward vertical integration and enhanced value creation. His dedication to quality was reflected in the company’s alignment with Lavazza’s international standards, strengthening its reputation for excellence across all operations.
